To date, no Russian citizen has received the vaccine, except for those who participated in the third phase of clinical trials, waiting for the end of the manufacturing phase necessary to start mass vaccination for those interested and providing producers with batches capable of covering the local need.
In a broadcast statement Russian Channel One, the Minister of Health said that a comprehensive vaccination against the Corona virus is expected to begin in Russia at the end of November.
Murashko explained that the drug manufacturers have confirmed that mass production of the vaccine will start by next November, stressing that it is necessary to prepare lists today, for the groups that must be vaccinated.
Earlier, the director of the "Gamalia" Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, Alexander Gintsberg, confirmed that if mass vaccination was successful, the spread of the Corona virus in Russia would stop by November 2021.
According to him, by the end of this fall, local vaccine production will increase to about 6 million doses per month, which will allow the vaccination of between 70 and 80% of Russians within 9-12 months.
